Primary Math Tutor 1 Profile
Mr Jeffrey Ng, armed with over twenty-five years of Math teaching, adores the subject. He strongly feels that Math is an excellent model for developing independent and critical thinking. He advocates Math as a common language for communicating ideas with precision among practitioners. Math is such an important discipline in the sciences that it becomes an imperative tool for students to master. Proving theorems in class is an important aspect of learning, but doing Math is also an irreplaceable part of the learning process. His teaching experiences range from Primary to Junior College level. He is familiar with and has a very deep understanding of the latest MOE Primary and Secondary Math school syllabi. His main goal is to instill confidence in students and moulding them to become independent mathematical thinkers, capable of approaching and solving problems on their own. He reasons, “To perform well in the PSLE or ‘O’ level examinations, students must have a deep understanding of the Math concepts.” In his lessons, he helps students in 3 fundamental areas: 1) Perform calculations with speed and accuracy; 2) Interpret concepts and analyse the questions; 3) Equip them with various techniques to solve Challenging Problem Sums. Mr Jeffrey Ng has an excellent track record in helping weaker students score a better grade in the exams.Many of his students, including their siblings, sing his praises. Mr Sudi is an Honours Graduate in Chemistry from NUS and has more than 4 years of teaching experience. He has a systematic approach to the teaching of the subject. He devises simple but effective ways to help students understand, recall and apply concepts to the challenging A level questions which have been getting increasingly difficult in the recent years. He has received very positive feedback on his effective teaching from students and his students are extremely pleased with his strategic teaching.

Mr Ang has more than 8 years of teaching experience in economics and have developed a systematic approach to the subject. The requirements of its case studies and essays demands application of principles and rational discussion of the subject. Mr Ang simplifies difficult concepts for students to digest easily to facilitate their learning. He also understands that doing well for the subject is more than just understanding school notes but rigorous application of exam techniques as well. Dr Wong has a PhD in Electrical Engineering NUS. Currently, a post-doctoral research scientist who has published scientific papers in several leading applied physics journals. To date, Dr Wong has authored a total of 17 scientific publications. In the universities, he has tutored many undergraduate students in science and engineering topics. Given his vast experience in research, he is in a good position to share his knowledge and practical experience with students. Dr Wong is also a coach for H3 Physics.
